A precious memory of a blinding hot day, a long walk for small people, of our youngest, Jess scrambling down a steep, steel ladder with one arm in a plastic castand jumping into the cool green waters with glee before swimming out solo to admire the enormity of those towering cliffs.For me, it’s a reminder to stop and reflect on love, family, beauty, gratitude and humility for the small part we play in this rugged landscape. This artwork is painted using a genuine iron oxide, overlaid with acrylic and copper metal leaf to reflect the intensity of the sun and light.The rust captures the colour and texture of the red iron in the sand stone cliffs oxidising over millennia.
